There are some frequently used terms on this forum that warrant formal definition. In particular if you're selling a domain name, be sure you know what the following terms mean before using them in your advertisement!

(I've gleaned these definitions from common usage on "For Sale" posts on this forum - feedback/corrections/additions welcome!)
  • Aged - I've had this domain name for years, and no one has wanted to buy it in all that time.
  • Brandable - This name is meaningless unless someone spends millions of dollars to make it recognizable.
  • Pronounceable - Not pronounceable.
  • Very Pronounceable - It is possible to distinguish this name from a sequence of randomly generated characters, and it is not pronounceable.
  • Ultra Pronounceable - This name contains a vowel. It may also be a popular Klingon name.
  • Premium - This is the best domain name I have.
  • Ultra Premium - I paid more for this domain than you will.

I agree - I actually couldn't find it yesterday, but see it now nestled under 'Gold'. Mods please move it wherever appropriate (I can't seem to).

That said, if someone has practical definitions for these terms, I'd love to see em. They seem to be used quite subjectively and mostly create noise.

Ha, ha, very nice! Benn is right according to my opinion, mostly for "Aged"...
