I have tried to develop a diagram that simplifies normal life-cycle of a domain name. If you are completely newbie, then you may find it useful. Here goes the diagram:
Hope this little effort helps some of my DNF friends.
Thank you

Hi
though i can appreciate your willingness to contribute, there are some vital misconceptions in this draft
phase 1. is misleading, because i can register domains in bulk, thus i am registering more than 1 domain at a time
phase 3. i can register a domain at enom and by the time i have finished changing ns, the domain is already showing my whois info, which is less than 2 min.
use a "REAL TIME" registrar, and godaddy is not real-time.
phase 4. newly registered domains cannot be transferred until after 60 days
phase5. the process does not repeat exactly.
you can renew domains in bulk before they expire, thus the whois remains the same, so their is no waiting period as described in phase 3
Good Try though!
imo...
