when you go http://mcclanes.com

do you see netfirms banner ad ?

This is driving me nuts..

I used netfirms free hosting and 3 weeks ago changed dns to ns1.dailydouble.us and ns2.dailydouble.us ...but I cannot shake netfirms..like they have a death gripe on the domain!

Netfirms claims it must be a caching problem with my isp ! ..

I have been through this before with them.. I have another domain, the same problem..jabberwockey.com

first of all is anyone seeing the netfirms banner and who isnt seeing it...

and anyone understand what's really going on ?

mcclanes.com is resolved to 64.21.36.70 here. You may try using the IP address for FTP.

Yes, it is very possible that your ISP is caching the IP/DNS for your domain. They do this and store the data to increase your browsing speed. Or it could just be your Internet Provider is slow to update their DNS.

My father lives in Hawaii and it takes an extra 12-24 hours sometimes for new domains to resolve with this ISP.

Wonder how common that is ?

Seems deceptive at best and illegal at worst case...

astound has about 1/2 million customers..so for the past 3 weeks all they see is my "old" site..

thats really ticking me off.. I went through this last year between my ISP, and 2 different web host. and a different domains same problem ..everyone was blaming each other..
never did 100% figure out who was the culprit..but..probably my ISP..the issue "resovled" by "itself" but not for 2 months !

I think I go down there today and have a talk with tech..

thanks guys...
