Weâve helped a handful of domain investors that we met through our affiliate program form companies to own and hold their domains in. They owned incorporation or business formation type domains and utilized our affiliate program to make money with their domains. The domain investing industry appears to be very into privacy. Weâre not too familiar with it, but we think itâs not acceptable with ICANN to list fake whois information. What we did for some of our domain investor clients was create corporations and LLCs that did not list their information publicly on the Division of Corporations address; they used our registered agent address publicly. There are a lot of states that do not require public listings of LLC members or managers or corporation officers or directors, such as: Pennsylvania, Ohio, Colorado, Delaware, Wyoming, and New Mexico. If you have any questions, you can contact us and our knowledgeable staff can help you form a company wherever you would like.
If you are operating as a sole proprietorship, in addition to privacy and limiting your liability, forming an LLC or forming a corporation can save you 15% of your distribution income, by electing to be treated as an S corporation with the IRS when paying your taxes. So if you make 100K a year as a DBA or sole proprietor, that gets put on your personal income. But if you make 100K with an LLC treated as an S corporation, you could take a substantial chunk of that as a distribution and save 15%.
Northwest Registered Agent LLC is a registered agent in every state. We can not only form your new company for you, but help you maintain it with our compliance tools, and our registered agent address service. Itâs quick and easy to incorporate online or form an LLC. Weâd be honored to meet new domain investors, work together on leveraging your domain assets in our space, and helping you save money.
