Yet more glitches in the Sedo selling process

Either a serious glitch exists in the negotiation mechanism, or a negotiation in my account was manually overriden.

The negotiation went like this:

Me: make offer
Buyer: $x,xxx
Me: $x,xxx + $600
Buyer: $x,xxx + $150
Me: $x,xxx + $375

At this point, realizing I hadn't used the "This is my final offer" option, I went and placed a lower counter-offer:

Me: $x,xxx + $299

Three days later I get notification that the agreement has been reached and the buyer agreed to my last amount entered.

Why wasn't there an option to move the sale to an auction, as with other transactions?

...but I did receive a $2.56 click today...which has been unheard of in the past year.

You did not have the option to go to auction because the buyer took your offer...You would have had to not reject the buyers last offer of $x,xxx + $150 and send to auction instead.

At that point you could have sent it to auction...not after you counter and they accept.

That explanation makes sense, but the process itself is not documented. Sedo needs to step up to the plate and fully document it. As someone else said, German logic.

Pretty much, you can send your domain to auction only after you receive an offer on it through the Sedo marketplace. If you counter offer, you can't send it to auction, but should the buyer counter-offer to your bid, you will have the option to send it to auction once more.

You will have 5 days to send it to auction from when you receive your latest offer. You can do this on the 'view offers I've received' page. You will see an option C, 'Send domain to Auction' option, once you've received an offer on a domain. Once you do that, the initial bid will become your reserve price, and if no one else makes an offer on your domain, you will be bound to sell it at the reserve price.
