amazon affiliate percentage?

Hi!

I was wondering what the percentage is for selling dvds as an affiliate?

5% right?

yes it is

you only get 15% for direct linking on books

they do have a tiered option where you can increase commision by a few % but you need to sell a lot of items to do so.

I recently switched to amazon for an identical book store from a previous affiliate.

The effective rate so far is 9%.

That contrasts with 3% at the other affiliate plus a double whammy...I think amazon will sell more.

They have sold twice as many items as the previous week at the other store.

This is with direct linking but not with "buy it now" links which I understand earn even more.
