California.biz

While I'm currently developing the domain, I would appreciate opinions on what the domain might be worth one day to an end-user. Thanks.

Show off ! :approve:

Well undeveloped ..I think you could get 5-10k to an end user.I sold a product .biz domain for around 1500

A developed California.biz depends on your traffic of course..boils down to how much traffic you are pulling in and the quality of that traffic ..so cant really even venture a value until you can show the traffic

great name ..good Luck

It might be worth a million dollars one day if you get rid of that background

bidawinner - Yes, guess I'm a "Show Off",. I agree traffic helps tremendously with promotion of the domain. I occasionally run Google ads on my various city/state doms to boost interest. (.biz) is a nice extension though has some catching up to do with (.com).

DNnic - Thanks for your comment. A dream-like quality indeed.

mark - Appreciate that! I was certainly pleased to acquire it.

Sharpy - Funny you mention the background. Gosh have I played around with that. Seems to fit well in 800 x 600 resolution but gets funkier at 1024 x 768 and above. "Might be worth a million one day" - LOL. I like the way you think! Why don't we work together toward that goal?

mudi - Thank you mudi. I may change the site around. So much to do, so little time.

Hi seeker - "...develop and wait". That's sound advice. I'm anticipating very good interest in time as 'California' in general has broad appeal. The Google and Overture stats for 'California' are through the roof. The state has the sixth leading economy in the world which I found quite interesting.

 So true, so true.

I have to agree though, this domain is excellent, and has tremendous potential, but from what I can see so far, I don't believe that it's been developed correctly, JMHO.

Good luck!

Arnold would like that one $500
Ha! Actually, I've thought about that. Arnold has a special initiative to bring business back to California. If I could reach him, I might possibly sell the concept of promoting his business initiative through California.biz. What perfect synergy. Hey, for $500, I'm sure he'd jump. :)

If you want quick cash , $10K is not a bad idea. In future it will be worth a LOT more.

Ditto Mark. With California.biz, I believe that is possible.

URLtrader - Your comment "will be worth a LOT more" (right on). I've noticed that value/price ranges seem to get wider (and higher) with each successive plateau. Some of the dom sales above the 100k mark appear to have lots of variability I assume because of the deeper pockets involved (sizable corporations, wealthy investors, etc.)

seeker - Was just joking of course about the $500! I would regret that for a long time. :eek:k:

California is the High-Tech capital of the world and the 5th largest business economy worldwide. You can get $100K just for the domain name. Hold on to it for the right VC. It's prime California.BIZ RealEstate!
