Hi folks,
Is anyone here familiar with AIM @Work? According to:
http://www.aimatwork.com/identity/
we'd be able to register AOL Instant Messenger screen names like:
George@Kirikos.com
George@LOFFS.com
you@company.com
etc.
that reflect our domain names. For vanity, that would be great, instead of being Hank686832, etc., as most of the good screen names are already taken.
I've been doing some research, and it seems that the only way to get these vanity screen names is through a reseller, and the cheapest I found so far is $20/month, per "seat".
I was thinking if we got a large enough group together, we could get volume pricing. If anyone is interested in going in together, please post here, or let me know via e-mail to George@LOFFS.com, and I'll see whether the resellers would be interested in going lower on price.
They also offer features like IM archiving/logging, etc., but I think for most people here it's the vanity screen names that would be appealing.
