I'm wondering if all wordpress templates allow for adding images and adding You Tube style video clips?

Is the admin panel user friendly?

I want to manage my own blog. i don't want to contact my tech person for every blog post. Is it easy to add still photos, images and video clips with Wordpress?

Yes, I think so , although we are not in contract yet -my devloper has done well by me in the past

My developer built my forum and I need somebody to do the blog, mortgage calculators, and OPTIMIZE the entire site

But he needs direction - I have the vision and he does the implementation

Thats what I am doing now, trying to get the vision thing down

Yeah it's easy.

Youtube videos, just embed the video code into the post.

Adding images to posts can be done in 2 ways. Upload the picture to a folder using FTP and link to the image with HTML.

Even easier way is to upload the image using the wordpress admin panel and link to the filepath in the post.

Wordpress is very easy. I am not too techy and am able to run 2 WP blogs with ease. The documentation is laid out well (unlike Joomla 1.5) and the plug-ins options are vast and super easy to install too.
I do suggest a host that has 1-click installs however as there are lots of updates and you will want to ensure you have the latest version. Without 1-click installs there is only a few additional steps and not difficult either. Steps nonetheless.

I am not even sure if you need this actually, it just may make it easier to embed the vids by using [ ]. A starting point anyway.
