Are you feeling it?
Adsense is becoming a joke as well, paying 50 cents per click on $100/click keywords.

Google has the wrong people in charge of DomainPark and Adsense. Once they go public, I'm gonna contact the corporate office.

Blink sure must have some valuable big traffic names to be allowed to use Domainpark which requires millions of hits/mo from what I understand.

Anyway, regarding Adsense (for us smaller website owners). Yes, I too have noticed a constant and steady decline in EPC (first in November and then again about April 2, and more recently this month July), when I believe they made their first and second (and 3rd) significant negative changes effecting EPC.

Since April my sites have a steady and nice increase in overall impressions (due to more and more sites/pages online carrying adsense) but a steady and ongoing decline in EPC rates and income. Of course, not allowed to give any actual stats due to the G TOS.

Still happy and well satisfied with Google and Adsense but not satisfied with the ongoing slide in EPC and Income. If not for my good increase in impressions things would be much more dismal than they realy are.

Unfortunately, not much we can do as there is little if any competition so no good alternatives at this time.

Yacov, what keywords are $100?

Someone just sent me a PM asking why I was "slamming adsense." That is NOT correct. I am very happy and well satisfied with them. My only 'complaint' is that I can't seem to make any headway with better income no matter how hard I work at it, or how many more impressions, that's all. It seems like I have run headlong into a brick wall. If not for more and more effort things would be more dismal than they really are.

I'd say since they announced they were redoing their system for better targeting the money made from adsense has decreased greatly for me on my main site. Other "normal" banner programs from companies like burstmedia pay much better currently.

I see Google going public, Shawn Batten and Co gets kicked out of the corporation, Microsoft comes into search engine scene, Overture introduces Pay Per Click advertising then Microsoft might well do the same with inovative ideas, Google team (specificly DomainPark and Adsense managing unit - Shawn Batten and Co) getting greedier and greedier. Pay Per Impression advertising offers more and more returns.

Did you know that Google's DomainPark no longer offers competitive returns?

They've been scrutinizing my sites badly lately. Making me re-arrange text that is nowhere near improperly placed, and disabling ad serving to URLs with no warning, for no good reason. Plus some other issues.

They've really started to change the way I feel about them.

But, I'm still happy with the results I get because they can't be matched.

I don't know.. it's just not like it used to be.
At least they mail the checks out and they clear the bank.

I agree with Blink. I utilize both AdWords and AdSense and Mesothelioma draws about a $45 top bid yet the payout through Sedo for the term averages 10 cents a click. Somethings not right. Sedo claims it's because the clicks may have come from somewhere other than the US but I checked and it has been US traffic so I do tend to wonder where the other $44.90 went. The bid is $100 for about the top four bids on Overture. Crazy.

this might be a possible strategy.

google introduce their adsense, paying alot to their advertiser...probably 80% revenue share... as the word mouth of spread...more and more advertisers sign up.... (their marketing strategy starting to work and take effect)

As their strategy more and more successful... because people have been spreading how wonderful adsense is while they silently decrease the revenue share a little...and a little... and a little to the original planned revenue %...which could be 40-50%

Well, the above is based on NOTHING and NOT A FACT.
Entirely is just what i think.

Again, I am very happy with Adsense and want to thank Google for offering it. Their support has also been very good.

My only complaint is that to maintain status-quo income, starting last Nov I had to work at it much harder, then again starting April had to double my efforts again, now in July it appears another greater time and effort is again required to simply make approx the same revenue each month.

The only reason I can think of is that they must be lowering the EPC as time goes by, as my CTR is holding up as expected, and impression are actually up a lot.

However, some webmasters say their income has actually gone up so it could also be related to the category of websites and the EPC Targeting method used by Google, which seems to have been modified several times according to what I hear.

I believe Adsense pays 5% of all revenue to their advertisers now.
40-50%? Keep dreaming.

Blink, Adwords has a cpc cap so you would never get near $100 (or the 1/6 or so you're getting with tfn/ybs) per click. Be happy if you get $1-2.

Hi Realnames,

I'm there with you. I am currently testing out Kanoodle's system on a couple of sites (even though I hate their PPC engine 'cause they steal the money just like Looksmart and others -but that's another story). I am also looking at some new systems about to launch. I just don't trust g**gle because they do not care about anyone but themselves (despite their cute little saying).

I have seen a 33%-50% decline month over month for the past 3 months --all while my impressions/traffic has been increasing.

The only relief came on July 5th... when all of my traffic domains took off getting 1000% increase in traffic with people booking/researching more travel. As a result of that and 200% overall increase in traffic across all of my domains, I am now getting nearly double last months earnings.

That is still depressing as 200% increase in overall traffic with an average of 6.7% CTR across all of my domains is earning me half of what it was earlier this year!! :(

-Wesley
p.s. To those that love to mention the g**gle TOS: I did not spell out earnings, so please do not pester me about it. :p
