For newbies, WordPress is best. Drupal and Joomla are great CMS scripts, but WordPress is the best. The designs and functionality are super professional and the installation and management is the easiest. There are some advantages to Drupal and Joomla, but for newbies / non-developers / non-programmers those advantages are probably out of your reach.

Some people say WordPress is just a blogging software, but I disagree. There are tons of great plugins that can do pretty much anything you want.

Yeah, I believe I am converting.... :undecided:

Always been a joomla fan but we are just finishing up a wordpress site for a client, www.SEOLatestNews.com and I have to say, its so ridiculously easy to use and set up pages and posts.

Add to that the great in-built promotional tools and it does make a lot of sense.
Its certainly about 4 times less of a learning curve than joomla/drupal.

All these wordpress sites are so evidently blogs.

If you want a real CMS look towards Drupal or Joomla.

There are so many modules for Drupal that my colleagues and I joke about how little coding is involved. "Client wants website to aggregate all these feeds, oh, better check another box in the menu". It's so easy to use, and fully customizable.

Drupal 7 will be out in the coming months, will be epic.

The name easily sell to the masses. If I own the domain name, I will use NING service very stable and a little management on my part. The $30 a month for hosting and all the built-in tools works for me. I build www.randompage.com for few bucks and now it's making stable income with 7000+ members.

Congrats.
