Sorry to say that, but dot tv domains are worth only their registration fees. If you are trying to registered e.g. star.tv for $25,000 and then sell it for more, then you're in big trouble.

Have you ever wondered why you were able to register food.tv?

Sorry for my blunt comments, let me elaborate a bit:

Since Verisign has already factored in the profit margin of these so-called prime .tv domains, the chances of reselling them at higher prices are minimized. That's exactly why so many "good" names are still available at .tv while that with all other TLDs are long gone. Just my two cents. Not meant to be rude. ;)

Exactly.

.TV does not stand for Television.

Food.TV means absolutely nothing. If a TV show called 'Food' goes hunting for a domain name, they will pay for Food.com or Food.us or Food.info. If they just want to have a fun pointer, then possibly Food.TV for $50

I am sorry to put you dont, i am just being honest and realistic.

There is no way to vote in this poll because you did not include an under $1000 category and the value of food.tv is WAY under $1000.

Food.TV - $500-5k.

Must get misguided traffic from foodtv.com, which is an internationally advertised cable channel.

Can you pitch it to them?

Interesting angle on that one. A sale to FoodTV.com does sound as something. One thing is, will they use it?

.tv domain names symbolize rich media, streaming video, convergence and broadband content - the future of the Internet. A .tv address tells the world you are part of the new generation of online experiences.

EXACTLY my thinking!!
Remember, ".TV" simply stands for the tiny isle of Tuvalu, and NOT for "television". Also, as mentioned, the domain name that you'd really want here would be "FoodTV.COM". Period.
Good Luck.

Sorry that you don't get a chance to vote in this poll. Can the moderator add it for me?

Good luck, m8! I truly mean it. if at times my low appraisals sound a bit rude, dont take it that way. I'd rather not give false hopes to anyone and be as harsh as i can.

There is no way that you can register FOOD.TV from those registrars online.

LOL. It IS ".Website" ... shush, 'cause pretty soon people will start to think it's "Western Somao", or something! Shhhh.
Good Luck.
