Hi,
I recently signed up for a wholesale account with Fabulous, and got an email from them telling me...

"We offer to import, categorise & optimise your domains free of charge. If you elect to take advantage of this service you will be eligible for a revenue share of 75% on all ppc revenue. Just send the list of domains that you would like to manage through Fabulous to ********@fabulous.com and we will get to work on your portfolio.

Alternatively, if you would prefer to import and organise your domains yourself, we offer a 50% revenue share.
"

Whats the difference between these two methods and which one I should pick?

Note: I have about 150 domains, and I just want to park them until I am ready to develop them. Only about 20-40 domains are for sale, and even for them i don't want to have a 'For sale' sign. So please take this into consideration.

Thanks guys for your opinions.

If you set everything up yourself you will..

1) Come Up With Categories And Make Folders For Organization And Growth
2) Set the dns servers to NS1.FABULOUS.COM & NS2.FABULOUS.COM if you have enom you can do a group edit but I like to do them one at a time so that I know which ones I haven't changed over yet.
3) Import the domain names into your fabulous account once you have changed the DNS over. It doesn't hurt to double check that the DNS servers are setup correctly and it was typed correctly. When importing you will want to classify each domain individually unless you all want them to be groupd together.

VERY IMPORTANT: When importing the domain you can also select the ad optimization at this time which will save you lots of time. You will want to be specific or use good judgement as to which category might work best otherwise it may be rejected.

Select the ROAR.com then select the ad group....For the design I use Generic 08 but you may choose one of the others. If you don't do this when setting up the domains the default page is very ugly indeed. You can do a group edit later but with regards to the category choices do these when you import.

If you do not do anything else it will come up with a generic ROAR page which kind of sucks as far as people have to want to click on it and there is no search box which I think is a major downfall.

4) If you now want a for sale sign to appear on the Fabulous page what you now have to do is go into SELL portion of the site while you are logged in and then import the domain. You will probably want to choose "best offer" and when selecting the topic you will want to choose a category where it relates when selling. This is probably the same as the ad category but in some cases it can be different like "names" for instance. Once you import the individual domain into this part of Fabulous then the domain will appear with a FOR SALE sign at the bottom of the page in a window. If you are forwarding the site to another webpage this actually make it appear as if the URL is being cloaked. But since you are probably using the advertising at Fabulous it should appear with the ad choices which were made for the domain during optimization.

NOTE: If you are using mozilla/firefox/firebird there is a bug that doesn't allow for the more specific classification category to appear to you may have to use internet explorer in order for this to appear. Therefore it will be put into the wrong selling category if you aren't aware of this.

5) Pop-ups can now be set by going into the portfolio or doing a group edit. Be very careful when doing this because you can actually screw up your settings and if you've optimized or had someone else do it for you it can be very painstaking to fix. I actually haven't had many good results with the pop-ups ads personally but there are plenty of sponsors to choose from. They seem to give you more flexibility here but I don't think you are going to put pornographic ads on a site where it doesn't relate. Won't happen.

6) When everything is done and all of your domains are imported and optimized go into your portfolio and you can actually TEST the page without causing the hits to increase (This is under TRAFFIC CONTROL). This will allow you to make sure the pages are working properly and were imported correctly. Technically you won't know if the domain is working with the DNS by doing this but it will allow you to look at the design, sponsors, and see if the for sale sign is appearing on all of your pages.

Pick the first option. Anything you intend to do, you can request the rep and they will oblige. They are very prompt and helpful. Besides, your income will depend on the amount of traffic your domains get...

Good Luck

I have a few more questions...

1. What are the advantages / disadvantages in importing myself rather than let them do that? (It seems like the revenue % is higher if I let them do)

2. I have heard that we have the option of linking to our own domains, and if thats true how many of our own links we can put? Which method is good for that?

3. What are the payment methods? Do they use Paypal, or only wire transfer/check?

Thanks for your help

Any other Fabulous users? Please let me know what you think

Hi MarketScript,

Here's some answers for you.

1. What are the advantages / disadvantages in importing myself rather than let them do that? (It seems like the revenue % is higher if I let them do)

The advantage is that we set your domains up with a configuration known to be successful in monetising domain traffic through our system. We also perform back-end domain phrase breaking that is then used in your meta information to help with the indexing of your domains in search engines. You also don't have to do any of the work - most people are happy about that :) The revenue share is higher if we do the work, because we have found the traffic is worth more when we do the optimisation, so even though we reduce our share to 25%, more often than not we make more than we would at 50% if the customer had set up the domains. There's no obligatiopn to keep the domains as we set them up, and you do not lose the 75% share if you make changes. It's a can't lose decision.

2. I have heard that we have the option of linking to our own domains, and if thats true how many of our own links we can put? Which method is good for that?

Our templates automatically link to other similar category domains within your account. You are not able to add your own links, or link to Fabulous parked domains from external sites, as this can adversely affect the targeted nature of traffic flowing to the results.

3. What are the payment methods? Do they use Paypal, or only wire transfer/check?

Paypal is a payment option, and payments are made on the 15th of the following month. ie July payments will be made on August 15. Other payment options are check, wire and into your fabulous a/c to use for domain purchases/renewals(default)

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Cheers,
