1. Your name
Aaron Shively
2. URL of site
http://www.seehits.com
3. Age of site
Started it in August 2003
4. Approximate monthly page views and/or unique visitor
36,000 unique visitors, 150,000 page views per month
5. How does site generate income? How much?
The site currently has around 3,000 active old counter subscribers, and around 800 active new counter subscribers.
The old counter was just a free hit counter see example stats here:
http://www.seehits.com/cgi-bin/view.pl?name=golfable
The new counter offer basic and premium service. Premium subscriptions are $1.99/month or $19.99 a year through paypal.
Example stats for the new counter are here:
http://www.seehits.com/account_report.php?account=3
I just released the new counter on Feb. 7, 2004, and have been averaging 2 signups per day, with a minimum of at least one signup everyday. I just looked in my paypal account and have 27 active subscriptions so far since Feb. 7, 2004. So since Feb. 7, 2004 789 people have signed up for the new counter and 27 of those people have payed for subscriptions so far.
When you first signup it gives you a 5-Day Free Trial of the premium service then automatically downgrades to basic and sends out a notification email to the user.
So with an average of 2 signups per day that is $1,200 a month for that. I also am currently selling some advertising links for $250 a month. So total current revenue per month is around $1,450.
Keep in mind that the biggest thing this site has going for it is recurring revenue, these are subscriptions that automatically renew, so the subscription base is always growing every month.
The site is currently a PR 7 with 3,560 backlinks in google, and also has a lot of high traffic links such as templatemonster.com. Also, it comes up on the first page in google when you search for hit counter and free hit counter.
6. Who develops content and how much time does it require?
The site takes very little time and runs itself. The only thing you need to do is answer support emails. I get an average of around 5 support emails per day, so its not bad at all.
7. Reason for selling
I have another project I am interested in and need the money to put towards that. This site will easily make $17,000 this year, so my only reason to sell it is because I need the money for the other project.
8. Will you help with the transition of the site to the new owner?
Sure, I can install it on the server and everything. The site also has a web admin panel where you can control subscriptions, user accounts, counter styles, payment amounts, etc...
9. Does the site have an e-zine or newsletter? Number of subscribers?
I currently do not have any newsletters however it is something I was planning on doing in the future. All the email addresses are verified automatically when you signup.
10. The asking price for the site.
$17,000
Site will be sold through escrow service to protect both the buyer and the seller.
Please PM me with questions, and bids.
Once you PM me I can also give you access to the detailed stats for the site.
Thanks!
