Hey DNF,

I need a Hover.Com clone for providing email to end users. PM me please if you know anything.

Demand is there and the Hover.Com affiliate program is dead, want to build out on my own. Anything out there?

Cheers
J.

To do the unlocking, auth code requests, etc. I was unable to find a clone of that. It does look like you would need to contact many registrars and get API access provided to you from them in order to do such a thing (some may charge, some may be free, haven't looked into it except a quick Google search for GoDaddy which does not provide API—which is odd because Hover has to have them as a registrar since there are so many domains at GoDaddy). If you could get API connections, it would be a freelance project, but fairly cheap as API calls aren't that difficult to implement.

As far as the email is concerned, you can use any email client possible and all they need to do is change their MX records in the DNS management so that they can still use the domain for another purposes. Some of the possibilities can be from this list slightly modified to meet your needs.
