Do you keep getting married? A fan or victim of serial monogamy, perhaps? Do you keep tying (and tying yourself in) knots? Or are you just obsessed with getting married or being left on the shelf?
No, there's nothing wrong with getting hitched, or even in just thinking about it - a lot. Because it's in. In fact, it seems to be forever fashionable. And it's profitable - quite an industry.
But here's why matrimaniac.com really is a GREAT domain name - yep, I'm going to sell you on it (but not on marriage or ant-marriage per se). That could be bad for one's health. Well, first of all, let me say that it's not just that The Matrimaniac was a classic old movie from 1916, starring Douglas Fairbanks. It's more that there is an outright boom in discourse about relationships and marriage and what it all means. Books, radio, TV, magazines, web sites, Sex and the City type discussions - all that good stuff. Culturally, it's a new place for women - vis a vis their usual way of relating to the concepts of marriage and coupling. Big time.
Matrimaniac.com is an absolute winner. Unbelievably well-suited for a woman writer's blog, a forum, a business, or any number of creative uses centered around this theme and cultural reality. It's short; it's apt; it's edgy; and it's memorable. In fact, the more I'm writing this, I'm feeling my price go up by the second - so in benefit to my fellow DNforum-ers, I'll stop there.
But I do want 9995 dollars for it - which is under ten thousand by enough money to get you a gallon of gas (or petrol if you live in Britain, but then it would only buy you a 1/4 of a gallon, I'd imagine - but their exchange rate is excellent right now, in their favor, so buy the domain off of me, sell to them as they are big into this matrimonial lark too).
