More curious than anything at this point. The board in question is http://www.usmessageboard.com/forums/

I know it's a rather long name, but I'm wondering if the activity on the page would give it any added value. I've paid a lot over the past year to have my banner placed to recruit new members but I have yet to offer any advertising on my board as of yet. There are over 1800 members with over 131,000 posts.

I'm curious as to the value of my board, and if a board dealing with politics would even be worthy of offering advertising. What started out as a hobby has cost me a bit of money (hosting, vBulletin, advertising) and a LOT of time and energy to maintain to get to this point.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,

Jim

Welcome to DNForum.com!

You have a really good board with many members and many posts, but...
it is difficult for anyone here to tell you a value because generally the potential or the real income of a website makes the commercial value of the domain name.

All good sales of domains are connected to a commercial/business terms (e.g. credit cards, tourism, business, etc.). The question is "Can you make money of your website/forum?". If the answer is no, then the number of people or companies who will be ready to invest in your domain goes to 0. If "yes, the website can make money", then the number goes higher depending on the dollar figures your site can earn.

If the website doesn't have commercial value then it is just a hobby personal website and no one here will want to appraise it(or will appraise it in low dollars).

But I may be wrong... You can at least try to find a buyer and ask them what they can offer.

Good Luck!
