I just purchased this domain...what do you guys think the value might be?

I was thinking about doing a movie mistakes site.

Thanks,
Ken

Now if I told you that I wouldn't get an honest guess about what you thought the value was. :)

Yea, but the guy from moviemistakes.com dosen't really do it right. I would have a detailed page for each movie with a like to Amazon for the visitor to purchase plus a clip and/or photos of the error.

Well, then the biggest "mistake" was for the old owner not to have taken the $7,000 for it last year. This is just a guess, but I'm thinking you paid a little less than that.

You could also expand it. Movie mistakes could be just a sub category - you could have, for instance, worlds worst inventions, worst books etc...

If you can do it, that would be nice.
The guy with www.movie-mistakes.com have 45K+ links on the
internet.
I sincerely hope you can beat it.
Success and good luck.

This is a very good one, general enough to make a site on anything, mistakes in filmography, photography, medical, and general miscues in life. Good grab.

Very nice name IMHO: I would be asking at least 10,000 resale. If you landed it around 1000, GREAT pickup.

Best of luck!!!

I say between $500 and $1000. The ideas given are good, but the development of the site like that would be more informational than anything else. I can't see much profit to be made with it.
It would take a lot of research and time to develop this name with the ideas people have provided. I like the ideas, but they won't make money.

If you want to make money, set it up as an online outlet store! You could sell thousands of products that didn't make quality control. People love a bargain and you could set up subdomains for each department.

clothes.mistakes.com
crystal.mistakes.com
china.mistakes.com
furniture.mistakes.com

Think of it like a huge classifieds site where people or even vendors could sell there stuff. I think it would have a much greater value with that business model.

Good luck! :)

LOL..thanks thinkaholic.

I made about $500 a month on cram4exams.com selling study material and exam prep books...I think the potential for selling movies, hats, shirts, etc. is much more. I honestly expect to make at least $1,000 a month with mistakes.com.
