I asked the buyer to make an offer and they came back

today and offered 500.00. It's not a bad price if I did not have

plans for the domain. I registered this name from a drop back in

feb. they just registered there name in Aug. So I don't know how

long they been incorparated under the name

I checked into to it more they own

www.newjerseyhomesale.com

with out the s on the end

they are a realestate firm named

newjersy home sales inc

Like I said I was going to use this domain for a site for home listings because i also own www.newjerseyshorerentals.com and newjerseyforsale.com

So I can't let it go for a couple of hundren bucks please
let me know what you guys think and sorry for the second request

If you don't want to take $500 because you want to develop, then don't sell. Don't worry about them snagging it because they are incorporated, you bought in good faith (you are realtor or in biz), and they do not own a trademark. It is yours, just decide if you want to sell.

Sell for $500, and register NJRE.US (new jersey real estate, united states) it is available as we speak.

Sounds like your not too motivated to want to sell this name. Pick up the phone, talk to the decision-maker, explain that $500 is a nice offer but it will need to be a motivational offer to sell them the name. If they are keen on the name they should come back in the neighborhood of $1500-2000. If you scare them away you don't need to 2nd guess selling the name.

Explain to them you plan to use the name but that you have an alternate name to use. Tell them you will take 5k. They counter with 2.5k. You're done.

Take the money before they sue you for "passing off"

I was just a little worried about them being incorparated under the name.

I wasn't trying to be a squatter This must of been what it used to be like 5 or 10 years ago when you could register it and demand the big dollars.
