and did you 'loose' your snap fee's or did they simply allow you too place those fee's on another snap name?

sorry.. but the snap back svc's.. in my opinion are not the wise way too go.. although many may have gained some 'great names' with such services..

in my opinion, it's 'risky business'

I let my SnapCrap subscriptions expire and will never purchase a SnapCrap again. I'm 0-5 on low profile names. A total waste of $.$$ IMHO

I've only ever successfully gotten on snap and it was on a domain I probably could have gotten with expirefish LOL. I have one pended for December that I'm really hoping for but we'll see, have 3 credits with them now whatever that means...

Imagine what happens with WLS -- that's the big scam, that most of their profit would be generated on names that NEVER expire.

In the last 30 days my top three snaps have been:

diary.org
actress.org
actresses.org (got this last night)

I have had $1000 offers on each of these.

Maybe you guys are doing something wrong?!!? Snap has worked for me for three years..

By the way, I don't have thousands of snaps - only 6 (now 5). Probably had 10 at my peak. It is a risky business, but grabbing expiring domains always has been.

As cranky and as demanding as RacerX can be, he has no complaints with snapnames. They are a first class company.

I guess the best advice I can give is do your research and choose your "targets" wisely.

There's no point placing a snap on a domain that has a large website, because the owner will notice it doesn't respond during the grace period.

Avoid domains where the whois looks like a large legitimate company (not because of TM, which is a seperate issue). They are just more likely to renew.

You must research - it's a lot of hard work but it pays off!

Chris :)

I've been happy with the names I have been able to get through SnapNames.

Is there an alternative to snapnames that works when the domain to expire is already being tracked on snap names?
