hello everybody !

I get a spontaneous request for an offer for my domain name "Nakedpaintings.com". I never made any marketing or any mailing about this name.

This is a parked name, without a site yet.

How much could I ask ... in what range ?...

Thanks in advance.

The preffered term would be "nudepaintings". If you have an inquiry ask $750

nakedpainting.com is taken and thats.
Hovewer nakedpaintings.com have a good possibilities anyway.
It depends how you will market this word.
I would say the value is around 350$. But you can double it with your work. maybe you could make simple page and generate hits. Then sale is much easier and price is higher as well.

I'm sorry. I did not see that you have a request already.

Start with 2 amounts.
One with some kind of options (you pay for transfer, pay taxes etc.)
Other with tranfer on his account or with another escrow company, etc.

Then he will think more which option to choose (and not about buy or not to buy)

Be kind (not too much) and put "backbridge" at the end of your letter.

Start with bigger amounts so you have "stepback" afterwards.

Keep hand on pulse and when you have wrote an answer letter to him show it to your brother (if you can trust him) before sending out.

And one more thing: don't wait too long with answering to him.

Alfons, are you Belgian too? I see you developped a whole selling strategy - you seem already an experienced seller !

No, there are too many porn sites on the web, and especially most of bad quality. NakedPaintings.com is the right name to sell specific - naked / nude - paintings, for which there are plenty of rich collectors all around the world. I could do it, but really no time enough to develop seriously.

As a note:

nekkidpaintings.com
nekkidart.com

Both available. I think the word is a riot. :)

I am perplexed seriiously here. Unless they are foreign speakers, no serious engish-speaking nude painting collector would call them naked paintings and even less so "nekkid". This is precisely the difference between art and porn. A nude (an unclothed human figure) constitutes the former, a naked (or nekkid-LOL) body is the latter, well sort of.

ASk $500 and make clear all taxes and fees are their responsibility and not worry about what they will use it for.

Yes Whois-Search, but such prices are exceptions for let's say 0.01% of the market. Most collectors (but much more numerous) are in the range between let say 1,000$-10,000$ for each buy. Same rule for supply : it's much more easy to find relatively cheap paintings than outstanding. Indeed, outstanding ones are considerably overvaluated, due to their rarity, and I have not the money to deal with (it's not only money, its a question of reputation, of "pedigree", ownership, etc...). Thus, lets stay small - at least at the beginning.
