Don't count your chickens until the WHOIS updates. Namewinner showed a great name PENDING for us a few days ago, but when WHOIS updated, they didn't actually get it.

For example, Namewinner shows "FREEMARKET.COM" as "Pending" right now, but the WHOIS shows that name was registered with DomainPeople.com, a Snap partner.

I do hope you get it Ken, but there are some flaws in their system. FreeMarket.com like someone mentioned is the latest domain I've noticed myself that shows up as 'Pending', that is not taken by Dotster.

I've seen that happen too. Last week there was a 3-letter.com listed as pending for several days after it had been bid to about $220. Then the pending went away and it was shown again with new bids over $500. Can't trust what you are seeing there until it is in your account.

Sometimes, NW something wrong.

But very few case same of FreeMarket.com :sad:
Other my case, Situation.com (Did not dropped),V6.net (Snapnames got it).
Now, Freemarket.com has been changed status from "PENDING" to "HIGHEST"
I sent mail to Dotster at July 2002 about this matter. But did not received answer clearly yet. Also I reported time-out bid probelem by mail at Jan 2002 (Especially non-NSI drops)
