OCZ EL DDR PC-4000 / 500 MHz / Gold Edition / Dual Channel
OCZ Dual Channel Gold Edition PC-4000 memory is specifically designed for high frequency operation on Intel i865 and i875 chipset based motherboards through the use of OCZ HyperSpeed and ULN technology. It is capable of achieving outrageous speeds of up to 500MHZ at CL 2.5-4-4-7.
Every Dual Channel Kit from OCZ is hand tested as a matched pair across a wide variety of mainboards in order to ensure flawless performance.
Each OCZ Gold Edition module comes with a high quality copper heatspreader with a gold mirrored finish that not only helps dissipate heat but looks good in a windowed PC case as well.
* OCZ EVPî (Extended Voltage Protection) is a feature that allows performance enthusiasts to use a VDIMM of 3.0V ñ 5% without invalidating their OCZ Lifetime Warranty.
**OCZ HyperSpeedî technology denotes specific OCZ EL DDR ICs built and selected for their ability to run at the highest possible frequency.
***OCZ Gold Edition modules have been designed and optimized for use with the Intel i865/i875 chipsets and work best on these platforms. If you are using a non-i875 based mainboard, we suggest purchasing either OCZ Platinum Edition or OCZ EL DDR modules.
Computer Power User Magazine
From December, 2003 issue of CPU Magazine: "Our highest-voltage settings showed OCZ as the only vendor able to crack 6000 in our Sandra tests, and it came only one point from hitting 5900 in 3DMark03. The choice of a gold heatspreader seems appropriate for this chart-topping champion."

While the Corsair seemed to take the lead at DDR500 speeds, as soon as we started overclocking the OCZ memory it really pulled away and for good reason it received our newest award, the TweakTown Performance Award.

The best thing about the 1000-MHz FSB and extra chip speed is the excellent system stability - the three memory module offerings we tested gave us absolutely no problems throughout the tests. The modules with the most credit are definitely OCZ Technologies', as they can be run at the highest speeds.

This is yet another strong showing on the part of OCZ. The OCZ EL DDR PC4000 Gold Dual Channel Kit certainly ranks right up there as one of the fastest memory kits we've had the opportunity to test. It performs well, overclocks like mad, and has some sweet looking heatspreaders as well.

The OCZ EL DDR PC-4000 Dual Channel Gold Memory is blistering fast. Its default speed is 250MHz or 500MHz DDR but it can reach much higher speeds. I was able to overclock it beyond 260MHz which is excellent resulting in fantastic performance. Overclockers will love tweaking their system with this memory. Watch the Video to find out more...

The performance of the OCZ PC4000 Gold simply speaks for itself. 3.3V is enough to deep fry most ordinary pedestrian DDR, but the 4000 just takes it in stride. There's not another stick of ram out there that can get this close to 600mhz. Not one. If you've got an 865PE or 875P motherboard that allows for Vdimm adjustments up to at least 2.9V (an Abit or Epox) you'll definitely want to pick up some PC4000 Gold to get the most out of your system. Highly recommended.

PC4000 memory is very new, but these very overclockable P4 "C" processors can use every bit of bus speed you can throw at them. Therefore, no P4 "C" system is complete without DDR4000. From what I've seen so far, the only company out there who is delivering true PC4000 is OCZ. However, I'm sure in a few weeks or months, other companies will perfect their so called PC4000 and OCZ will actually have some competition. Regardless, OCZ's PC4000 Gold stands alone and will be the highest rated DDR ever tested at Club Overclocker!

If your platform is the Epox 4PCA3+ and your goal is overclocking at the highest FSB attainable, then the OCZ does pull ahead.

In terms of performance, the OCZ EL DDR PC-4000 Dual Channel Gold is great. It is definitely the fastest RAM we have tested. It ran rock solid at its advertised speed at its advertised voltage. This OCZ RAM can all run at lower speeds and very quick timings as well.

What can we say about this OCZ memory, except that it performed flawlessly. It matched the more-expensive and much higher rated Corsair XMS4400 all the way through the testing, falling only 3 Mhz short at the extreme high end of the spectrum, and did this with no more than 2.8v of juice. In short, this stuff rocks. Its performance ensures that OCZ PC4000 EL Gold lands near the very top of the performance memory heap, and earns it the Systemcooling.com Seal of Excellence.
