Opensrs Whois Limit

Hi guys,

We have had too many Searches on 22/07/2002 to whois.opensrs.net :


Connection refused: exceeded maximum connection limit from 212.67.202.129


This is on opensrs.net only - which must have a limit of 1000 in 24 hours ???????????


Any ideas what we can do ?????????

I switched it via the admin to the mirror :

( Currently running on our Bennoart.com mirror )

that gave us a new ip for the time being ...............

we could do this everytime ....... but .........

We could switch whois servers after x many lookups, but do any other servers carry the OpenSRS data?

Email support@opensrs.net and tell them what you are doing, and ask them to increase the allowed hits on their whois database.

They are simply trying to stop SPAMmers from mining the whois database.

Hello,

Our whois limit is 1 query per second per IP.

That probably should have been quoted - since it now looks like Whois-Search is really Robert Rivers from OpenSRS .
