Hey guys, I am still new to this, I want to purchase domain that is in pending delete status, what is the best way to go about it? Should I use Pool? or should I just wait and see if I can get it myself? Its a good name so I think people would want to snatch it up...but I am not sure when its available to be bought?

Pending delete says it will be deleted in 5 days or less does that mean it is able to be bought immediately after that?

Thanks

I used Pool and SEDO. Os there a chance I will get my name I want?

I was A littel unsure how namewinner worked.
It seems you have to bid on a name that they dont even have how does that work?

Thanks

Yea I signed up sor SEDO's backorder service. They say they have a 70% succes rate. I am sure that is a bit exagerated but I signed up anyway.

Any one use it before?

Did I just get screwed or something?

Its $49.00

i think you tried now to buy the domain from the old owner :(

it is not catching the domain but:
This domain is no longer available for registration. However, it's still possible to acquire it using Sedo's Domain Acquisition service. Acting as your personal broker and negotiator, Sedo can acquire your domain name with a success rate of 70%!*

Never heard sedo catch any good names.
If you real want to got this name, you must go POOL.com.
Now POOL is the king.

i am sorry,

Woops I made a mistake I wonder If I can give them a call.

The name is due to drop tomorow. I back ordered the name from pool. My luck I will get it and SEDO will contact me trying to buy it from me now.

I will accidently sell it to myself and get charged a huge fee.

I just try myself instead of paying 'hefty prices' to domain catching services and I have succeeded 30% of the time.

Thanks,

It really depends on how sought after those domains are. It's *almost* impossible to compete with backordering services on a manual basis. In other words, if a domain has a backorder on (not to say 2 or more), your chances of successfully snapping it by hand is close to zero.

I was considering purchasing DNSnap is this a good program? Can I compete with the big boys?

Thanks.
