I am selling the two domains phentermine.ca and disebsin.com as a combination. For those of you who are unfamiliar, phentermine is the generic name for all weight loss pills that are based upon phentermine HCL active ingredient. Being the cheapest, and arguably most effective, diet pill on the market right now, phentermine is one of the top selling drugs in the US, behind Viagra.

Phentermine has had FDA approval for distribution since the late 50s in the US and has been available as a generic for I think about 20 years now. For those of you concerned, Phentermine is not the same drug as Fen-Phen and has never been subject to any FDA recalls.

Disebsin
Disebsin is the mexican name for phentermine.

Phentermine in Canada
Unlike the FDA, health Canada has placed phentermine on the controlled substances list. What this means is that Phentermine cannot be ordered online or shipped from within Canada. Beyond that, Phentermine is only available through one of it's brand name forms (Ionamin) and only via prescription for those within Canada.

That said, most Canadian phentermine users either order it from abroad or alternatively by crossing the border into the US where it's relatively easy to obtain.

Phentermine.ca was purchased a few months ago and redeveloped quite heavily. All of the content on the site was written specifically for the site and the purchaser will obtain full intellectual property to use the content as they please. The domain was originally developed for google adsense which unfortunately after Google's May 2004 changes to Pharm policies, dropped to basically nothing. From adwords $28 bids to < $.5

Income Potential For Phentermine.ca
The main potential for income via phentermine.ca is through a direct affiliation with an online pharmacy willing to ship to Canada. At current we are affiliatied with myrxforless which pays 10% on sales plus lifetime renewal commissions. I know there is at least one other mexican affiliate out there as well who is willing to pay 15% but without the renewal commissions. A few of our members have purchased from myrxforless and I haven't read any complaints.

That said, I know very little about the company save that the owner does get checks off consistently on a monthly basis and I haven't had any problems at the bank.

Traffic?
Beyond developing the content for this domain we haven't done any link development or SEO. We have submitted to DMOZ but to this date the site hasn't been listed.

Why we're selling?
Quite simply we're trying to focus our attentions and are getting out of all areas. I did talk to our lawyer as well about this domain and his question was basically "why bother?". It's no secret that pharmaceuticals is a much more volatile industry than most others and since this is our only investment in pharms, it just doesn't make sense.

To give you an idea, this site has a clickthrough rate of 20% . Before google adsense changed it's policies & we removed the affiliate links to myrxforless.com, the site was making ~$350 per month off of about 60 visitors per day (this was using the old design that you can view clicking on the link at the bottom of the page when clickthroughs were lower). We never tested the new design with myrxforless and were just planning to use the site for adsense.

Adsense revenue is no longer a viable option, but pharm affiliate income is VERY HIGH. To give you an idea, here are the affiliate stats from disebsin.com.

Number of orders you have referred to us: 9
Total dollar value of orders referred: $1143.80
Your share of orders referred from you: $114.38
Your share of 2nd Tier Affiliate orders: $0.00
Value of payments delivered to you: $85.62
Your account balance is: $28.76

Some of these came from phentermine.ca before we removed the links, but unless I missed some links they are all now coming from disebsin (which has had a whopping 18 visitors since the start of June).

Beside these orders now, there's either an (N) or a (R). In the case of the N, it's a new referal whereas (R) is a renewal. You get paid for these regardless of whether the person ever clicks your link again.

That said, I hope I'm making more sense here as there's been a few rediculous PMs, one for $120 which is less than the VB license.

OUR Lawyer has warned us that pharmaceuticals carries with it some risk and considering the rest of our sites are doing quite well, I don't need to go near this. This site was an impulse buy for me before I really had a chance to look at all of the factors. If you do a quick search on google for Phentermine however, you'll notice that there are many people who don't mind the associated risk.

I'm willing to bet if you change absolutely nothing with the site and replace the google ads with the myrxforless affiliate link the site will bring in $xxx per month in income. Promote it some and it will be $xxxx or even $xx,xxx per month site.

.ca domains can be owned by anyone
I didn't think to post that initially. There are no restrictions on who can own a .ca domain, for foreigners you'd just need to declare yourself as something to the effect of "participating in activities within canada". More information can be obtained by calling CIRA @ Phone: 1-877-860-1411.
