Well I think you will have this one closed as well. I do not think you can sell them here on DNF. Try other webmaster forums etc. however you should get a clarification from the mods whether this is legal or not.

Regards,

The other one was closed and i asked to the mod... he said advertising forum was the right forum but would be better to post in other forums... Like i said in my first post they say in the email i received "feel free to sell... "

Anyway I will try in other forums... if you know someone please post it.

Thanks ;)

The way I read the Member Appreciation email , only gold get a free account
Platinum members get to OFFER a membership invitation
In other words , the person who receives the invite still has to pay the platinum membership fee

So Sergio is prepared to lose $20 and get it back in $dnf when the the new member earns around 2000 dnf$ for posting
Is that correct?

Sorry... maybe im reading wrong (im spanish) but look at this:

You have been dedicated to us and we would like to show our appreciation by
giving our members 1 free DnForum.com invite of equal value to their current
membership status.

What this means is that if you (the member) are a Gold lifetime member, you can invite a friend to join Dnforum.com and they will receive a free Gold lifetime membership.

You will also receive 1 DNF $ for every post your referred friend makes on our
forum for life.

The following also applies for our Silver members, Platinum member, and
Exclusives.

OK, i think i understood now.

Thanks for the aclaration... this "the following" mean the free account is only for gold menbers and the others conditions for all the kind of accounts.

Then this thread could be closed.

Yes, "The following" not the preceeding.
And the text in "the following" does not mention a FREE account only an invitation to join ( and presumably pay the normal charge )

Huh? No, read the first part, it says

This means he gets to give out one free platinum invite.

Parrot
Maybe you are right and I am wrong
However im my australian Engish dictionary there is a big difference between an invite and a membership

Are you absolutely positive that platinum members get a FREE membership to give away?

You get to invite a FREE member of your membership status FREE OF CHARGE.

It is very clear and simply !

If you are a PLATINUM member then you can invite someone and they will become a PLATINUM member FREE OF CHARGE without paying anything. If you are a gold member then you can invite someone to become a gold member without paying anything etc...

Regards,

NW

Yes, they should have said give a free membership of equal value, and not invite, but the 'of equal value' gives away the intent, because all invites to join but not give a free membership are equal so it would not have been needed to say 'of equal value'.

In another thread the owner of the forum comments on someone who put their free membership up on ebay, while correcting the idea that they are able to be used for updates. If they were gold only, he would have commented quite differently on the ebay auction.

Oh Ok Thanks Parrot and NW
Sergio, please accept my apologies
You are correct. The extra membership is free.
My only excuse for inconveniencing you is that my understanding of American English is less than perfect. Regards
Joe
