Why not try phpBB - it's open source, and therefore totally free, and can do as much as vBulletin, and it has a very active modding community.

Don't forget Invision board too. I am not sure as to how large the mod community is, but it's a nice board that runs smooth.

I've never run vB, but I can't imagine it being that much better than Invision.

well i dont currently have any other domains but i am preety sure that your having vbs in your pocket so please help me out .

its for my hosting co.

I agree with Wildcard, I have invision board running on a couple of sites, there seems to be alot of mods available at ibresource.com and ibfskins.com.

I've seen many hosting companies using PHPbb for their support board. Start your business off right, cut startup costs when possible and upgrade when you do have the money. I don't think your customers will care whether or not you use a paid or free bulletin board.

Just use Invision Board. I don't see why you MUST use vb. Especially if its for your 'company', using expensive software won't make you look any better/worse.
