Ok, I'm not sure if I should be asking this in the legal section or in here... but anyways..

How do you go about getting your site set up with a privacy policy & a TOS? Privacy policy shouldn't be as hard, but what about the TOS? Do I need to speak to my attorney about that kinda thing - or is there a less costly solution?

Thanks for any help! :-D

I suppose it depends on what you are doing....

When I needed those, I went to a handful of competitor's sites, looked at what they had, then used them all as a resource to come up with my own. Is that the best way? Probably not, but it suited my needs and it was free.

If you are doing something that could have higher liability (adult subject matter, mass mailing, etc), then I would suggest retaining legal help.

Thanks MD.... I'll check out the TOS on some competing sites; but one thing is when I add in custom stuff I gotta make sure I word it right; thats the kinda stuff an attorney does best however.

Basically users will just sign-up to the site & then may or may not pay a service fee to make use of the site(s).
