Register.com buys Shoutloud.com to merge with Afternic.com

Can't confirm it, but just heard that Register.com bought itself another white elephant by purchasing Shoutloud.com (?????) and has plans to merge with Afternic.

That is just too much. Richard Foreman, someone has to remove the crack pipe from your mouth. :laugh:

 

With a bit of luck, register.com could mop up all the useless listing sites before they decide to pull the plug on them all.

At least it might stop all those dumb emails i get offering me worse variations of domains I already own.

Sedo had all that cash and...blew it. They seemed a natural. How difficult is it to do Afternic all over again...just in Europe.

The fact that Foreman chose not to improve Afternic, but instead plough more cash into another company tells you something about his apparently flawed mindset.

He had it all with Afternic, but blew it, blew it, blew it. Incredible. :laugh:

 

the register.com/afternic.com and verisign.com/greatdomains.com acquisitions really do end up looking like a corporate "p*ssing contest" that went badly wrong.
