If you receive an unsolicited email from a prospective buyer who specifically requests that you have your domain name appraised by securenamesale.com (or refers you to http://**********.ourplace.com/Archive/95073.htm) please be advised that this is a scam.

The sender of these emails is using masked IPs and domains to refer you directly to his site to squeeze $70-200 out of you. He has no intention of actually acquiring your domain name(s) or making any purchase at all.

For further information, please see http://domainappraisalscam.com/ (that's not a plug as it's not my site, but it I feel obligated to post information regarding this scam since I fell for it and don't care to see anyone else make the same mistake).

I wasn't sure what forum to post this in, so please move this thread if it is inappropriate to this forum.

Thanks for this information. But I just got scamed from them for $99 dollars. I wish I should have found your post earlier.
Hope nobody else will be scammed by them anymore!
