Status: locked?

I registered some domains at godaddy.com, after I changed the contact & administrative info I put a 'Domain Lock' on them

Before that the status was active now I see is locked.

I know the lock is to prevent the changes for the domains, but will this effect my domains? And if it does, then how it will affect them?

 

Locked status does not affect the operation of a domain. It prevents transfers and nameserver changes - and may prevent other modifications as well depending on the implementation at the registrar.

It does not affect how the domain "works" however.

You might want to ask GoDaddy support however, since there may be something they are doing that the users of a forum like this won't actually know...
