This is nothing new, shortly before AN closed the forums there was lots of similar publicity involving their so called Sale Of The Week.

When we questioned the name not being worth what was paid someone checked and it was unreg'd. A forum member then reg'd the name as a joke. What idiots at Afternic!

It appears the auction on GoingBananas.com is also an alleged fraud as mentioned in other threads.

When such a ( Once) large site is seemingly untrustworthy, no wonder it is difficult to get the masses to trust smaller sites to handle any type of transaction.
