Hello, everyone,

I’m looking for feedback on the domain www.susan.net. I would love to hear your thoughts on this 28-year-old domain.

I plan to sell it soon, so any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

It’s my mom’s name. If I had it I’d use it to promote the cookbook…

The domain name www.susan.net is 28 years old and very valuable overall. First of all, the age of a domain name can give it some SEO advantages, especially if it has been used before and has a history of traffic. Secondly, susan is a short, memorable and generic name for personal branding, business use or other areas. While .net is slightly less popular than .com, it is still a popular suffix, especially in the tech and internet industries. Considering all these factors, I think this domain name has good market potential. If you are planning to sell, you can price it based on how similar domains are trading.

Around $7500 to $15,OOO to a motivated end user. Possibly more if you get an auction situation with a couple of potential buyers.
The .com is available for sale which is not a good factor for the .net
Could use the likes of Linkedin to search "Susan" and go from there.

Susan.net is a valuable domain, especially with its age, short length, and universal appeal. It could attract high offers from buyers looking for personal branding or niche projects. Best of luck with the sale!

First or last name domain names are valuable, but the .net is not as valuable as the .com. I own my last name.com as well as the .org. I dropped the .net, and now someone else registered it for an email address.

Wuhh!!!

Here are some examples of past sales for firstname.net (names of similar "caliber") domains (data from NameBio and other domain sales platforms):

john.net: Sold for $30,000 in 2006.
michael.net: Sold for $25,000 in 2007.
david.net: Sold for $18,500 in 2008.
lisa.net: Sold for $12,000 in 2005.
mary.net: Sold for $10,000 in 2004.
robert.net: Sold for $9,500 in 2006.
james.net: Sold for $8,000 in 2005.

.. all, pretty old data.

The data suggests: at least $20k.. still, not .com :(
