THALATTA.COM was among the first 167 .COM domains to be registered and it originally dates back to 1987.
There are numerous references to the domain THALATTA.COM online, dating from the late 80's to early 90's.
It is unknown when it dropped, however I registered it a little over a year ago.
The name itself is the historic cry "Thalatta! Thalatta!" (the sea! the sea!) that was described by the historian Xenophon in "Anabasis"; the story of the trip back of the Greek army in a hostile land after the death of Cyrus at Cunaxa, a trip of more than a thousand miles through Armenia and along the shores of the Black Sea - that happened in 401 BC.
Since the domain was originally registered in 1987, it has great sentimental and collectible value and small traffic, with net/org/info all taken.
