I want to develop a site that is bigger than cj.com, and of cause it will be better than commissionjunction.com.

The idea is we offer online shoppers a better deal on all kinds of merchandise.

For example, if you buy a hosting from powweb cost you $99 a year, buy if you buy it from us, it only cost $79.

Or you buy a super booster for your cell phone, it cost you $25, but buy it from us only cost $15 or less.

How can we do it? Simple, share our referral commission with buyers.

The domain name is commissionshare.com or refershare.com.

We set up a program, when you purchase from us, you are automatically paying the reduced price.

We choose our merchants and set up needed programs to make this process workable. We can even ask our merchants put a link on their web sites to tell their visitors using our service.

I am looking for a partner, maybe a group of partners, if you like the idea, hope you join the party and post your thoughts.

CJ is using a system to attract webmasters and merchats. they do nothing for byers.

My idea is to attract buyers by offering lowest price on Earth. Even you buy aol or ebay service from us you'll save more money.

This idea is 100000 times better than cj.

It is a seed today, but I can see the woods tomorrow, I am Mark Twin's twin.

Just kidding, I love Internet too much, can't help.

Once it's established, we aspect the biggest merchants will try to jump on our board.

We better have a motherboard.

I think if we have workable program set up, all merchants will want to promote us for free. They can offer better deals and not cutting their regular prices.

One thing I think will hurt many webmasters is that when they send buyers to a merchant, and the buyer will buy through our program to save money.

So pretty soon cj is watering and webmasters losing commission.

Only we and merchants are happy than ever.

Look around there are lots of sites out there like this. They are different from Affiliate program managers like CJ.com and often they use CJ or BeFree or Linkshare to track their sales.

Example: Through program X I can buy a Widget at 20% off. I login and click on the link on ProgramX.com, it sends me to CJ.com, passing identifiers for the ad, that it is coming from ProgramX and that you are the programX member. CJ immediately redirects to Widgets.com, when you make a purchase the sales data is sent back to CJ and ProgramX gets it from there. Widgets.com is giving 25% commission in their affiliate program, CJ takes 30% on top of that so if a Widget costs $100 then Widgets.com pays CJ $32.50, CJ keeps $7.50 and passes $25 to ProgramX who keep $5 and give you the remaining $20 (your 20%).

A perfect example of this is Quixtar (by Amway) www.quixtar.com (main difference is that they have a proprietary order tracking system that requires the merchant to transmit data in an EDI format.

Another example is Linkharvest www.linkharvest.com.

I believe his idea centers aroung a rebate type of service. The person makes the purchase at the normal price say $100, the common payout to publishers is $20 the ad network then takes it's normal 30% of the pay out which is $6 and passes a percentage of that back to the buyer in a rebate or check. So if your rebates were 50% of the ad networks take you are looking at pennys for most transactions. Now you are writing out a 2 cent check on a check that cost you 2 cents and spending 30+ cents mailing the check. Or you could subtract the amount from the purchase price but even then you are not saving the consumer that much money.

Most rev share deals will not venture beyond 40% of the retail purchase price. If you want to make money you need the publishers, you need to be able to pay the publishers enough to make them happy so I believe you are left with only the 30% of the 40% rev share take for serving the ad so in the end you do not have that much savings to pass on.

Furthermore, I do not feel that a 10% savings on a product will increase your conversions that much. Saying that, I believe that publishers will then go with the ad network that pays out more. If you are passing some of the earned commissions onto the buyer then you may have problems getting and keeping publishers.

There are merchants, buyers and us for the whole deal.

Let's say a merchant selling a product at $100, they give 20% to cj or publisher (referral commission). So the product is still cost buyer $100. When a sale is made, $20 goes to the publisher, $6 goes to cj. The merchant gets $74.

Now if the merchant partner with us, they put a highlight on their site" buy it from CUTBUY and save 15% now!"

So the same product will only cost the buyer $85, and the merchant should be able to make more sales by same amount of visitors.

The $85-$74=$11 will be our profit, not a penny to cj or publisher.

In this case, a merchant gets buyers from cj or affiliate publishers to their site and purchase through CUTBUY (us) to save money.

Another beauty is when a merchant using our CUTBUY link on their site, they will get list on our sites merchant list, so they can get visitors from us that are buying other products from other merchants.

Now the problem to me is I don't know programing etc. or how to manage a business like this.

But the theory sounds correct to me, to make a program for this idea should be a piece of cake to the pros.

Please forgive my poor English and give more feedbacks, best of all, please be my partner if you think it has a good chance.

By the way, I bought buycut.com and cutbuy.com this morning just incase they can be use for the idea.

We don't need publisher at all.

All we need is merchants, they will promote our service just for 2 reasons:

1. Their visitors can pay less to buy their produces using our service..

2. By promoting us a nerchant will get a promotion back from us which will lead to them a lot more visitors from our other merchanhts.

Looks like my last post did a very bad job to explain the idea.

if you are giving your commissions back to the buy .. what are you getting out of it ? obviously nothing ! waste of time if you ask me as everyone who launches a project is trying to make money.. isnt that the purpose ???

There's a GAPING hole in your logic!

If the merchants advertise the discount on THEIR sites (which is what you're saying) then they're paying you AND advertising you.

There's NOTHING in it for the merchants, nothing at all! You are not adding any value at all to the transaction. After all, they can just pop a coupon for 15% off and keep the shopper within their own site... if they send them to your site, they have to risk losing that shopper to the other merchants listed on your site.

Does every merchant that use cj affiliate program has a link from their sites to cj? Are they sending webmasters to cj which might sign up other merchants' affiliate program and promote them?

If a merchant pop a coupon sale $100 by $85, does the merchant still need to pay cj and the publisher who send the visitor?

If you understand my idea, you might not want to doing domain resell and work for changes.

I am looking for positive visionary business partners, I really don't think that you are qualify for that.

Yes, but only on the "Join our affiliate program" link - and at that point, they're essentially "webmasters" not "shoppers". Plus they don't land at CJ - they land (generally) on a signup form that is specific to that merchant only.

If the visitor came from a publisher site via CJ, yes.

If the visitor came directly to the merchant or via some non-affiliate link, no.

i dont think theres any need for sarcasm here - genki had a fair point - its not as if hes a new webmaster who got a free copy of frontpage last week

my suggestion is show us your previous projects so that we can determine what quality of sites you build - we can then gage how good this website would do from that

there are dozens of members here who look for partners for these supposedly huge projects but the reason they are looking for partners is because they have very little or no web devloping skills of their own. They say things like you build the website and ill provide the 9 dollar domain and we'll spilt the profits - yeah that sounds worthwhile

so prove us wrong and show us your websites. You have the idea but do you have the skills to actually make it happen.
