Traffic of 3-Character Dotcoms

Someone has told me they have some 3-character domains which get 10K hits per month. Assuming the domains are not words or popular acronoyms like TLC, does anyone know if there's a good chance that is true?

I guess it depends on the name in question john, though its fair to say that that kind of traffic is not the norm. Worth bearing in mind that a lot of people have trouble reading their own stats accurately so best to proceed with caution I would say.

Exactly. Some people can't even distinguish between unique visitors, pageviews and files requested.

Although I must add that some of us are too obssessed with "unique's" when pageviews may sometimes be an equally good indicator.

10k/30 = 333 hits/day

333 type ins a day is not extremely high but not something you get to buy everyday either, I guess. assuming hits=unique visitors those 3 characters would have to mean something for relatively many people.
