uhoh, isn't this the site that had all the conflict with it? Is it all resolved now?

LOL - Yes it is, and it was amicably resolved some time ago... good question :)

Is the software still being developed or is there any source code? Is the software unique to this website/company or is it rebranded? Thanks.

Yes the software is unique and exclussive to this site and it was developed especially for this domain.

No the software is not being developed and I do not have the source code, but I do have the developers e-mail address which the buyer will receive.

Thanks

Without source code to the application, how would one support it? Not that the developer is bad (I have no idea), but s/he could really hold you hostage for fixes, no?

As a side note on capturing usernames in chat sessions. I bought a similar product and it worked the same way, but did offer the screen captures you mentioned. I ended up not using that feature because it would basically fill up your hard drive in short order if you were capturing enough screen captures to be useful. Incidentally, the progam I had was around $100 and probably doesn't do much more for me than this program does. I use the program as a safety net with my kids... I let it run and if I ever want to validate if they've gone online, I can check... normally I don't check it.

I would think you'd want to talk to the developer about maintenance, however, because as new versions of Windows come out, or new versions of the different browsers and chat programs, there me be updates required.

The new versions of the OS issue was the one that was foremost in my mind, yes. That and featurization - what happens if you get some corporation who say, "Add these 5 features and we'll license 10,000 units?"

Last month this site had 61 sales and resulted in over $500 profit, which based on the 47,000 unique visitors I was able to send results in a conversion of about 1 in 770.

You are profiting $500/mo and you will sell it right now for $2k? Something just seems odd.

It's the traffic that makes the money and that is not for sale. Just the xxxxxx software and its assets are for sale.
The traffic will continue to be mine and I do and will use that on other sites and affiliate programs and will thus continue to make $500+ per month from it
(actually when I will be travelling a member of this forum has made a deal with me to lease the traffic of these names and a few others for $X,000 per month for 2 months)

Hopefully you're able to understand now why my asking price seems low, because when the site is sold I will stop sending it traffic from my domains and that is where the profit comes from.

The $2K asking price is what I believe the domain names, the software, the website etc is worth to me.

Hi, who is the legal owner of the intellectual property you are selling, i.e. the software? How is that ownership documented?

Thanks!

Hi,

I am the legal owner of the *compiled xxxxxx software*, graphics, domains... everything offered in this sale.
The rights to the exclusive use of these assets and my ownership is documented with an Escrow.com transaction titled "xxxxxx.com / Software / Hosting" which was completed on 22 April 2004 and several emails and a couple of PMs from the parties involved also confirm this.

The source code of the xxxxxx software is not included in this sale and it is the intellectual property of a programmer known as "xxxxxx" whom I have had no communication with. I did not purchase the xxxxxx software from him but as a complete package from a member of this site.
