as in 'overclockers' ;P (maybe for a german site?) PS. uber means 'over/above' in german)

the term 'uber' is very popular among younger folks who are into 'overclocking' and I was quite surprised that the name was up for grabs considering the popularity of overclocking sites etc...

Any estimates for resale? worthless? Cheers

I`m sorry,but I must correct this.....

We do not know a word "uber" in German language.I believe you mean "über"!!You see the difference??
The first letter is a "Umlaut".We know the following "Umlaute"
...ä,ö,ü

If you want to register a German domain with a "Umlaut",you need to write ae=ä,ue=ü and oe=ö. (=ueberclockers)

Hope this helps....

overclock is the term use for CPU, when you need to put CPU to run over its designed speed.

The term is less used now. We already have 2.4Ghz CPU.

anreise.com.....yes,it`s a German dictionary word and travel related,
but realy not the best one.
"Journey" in English language is the much better word.I would
give this name a 3 in a scale of 1 to 6.

tages.net......mhhhmm,this word is not correct this way.I believe
you wanted to register the plural of tag (day).
But this is "tage".We use the word "tages" as a word before an other word
like tagesschau, tageskasse or as word in a phrase like
domain des tages (domain of the day).

Don`t be angry.I also have sometimes problems with the
English language and register wrong names.

um, interesting.

I found tages.info and anreise.info is the part of LR2 info name. That means people registered them with false trademark.

One more questions, I saw a lot of German word registered in either .de or .info, but not many of .com, .net and .biz. Do you have any idea why it is so?

Will anreise.de be interested in buying anreise.com ? Do they prefer .info over .com?

Sorry to ask too many questions, but it seems that only people in Germany can give better answer. Thank you.

Michael.

I know about umlauts I've lived in germany for years ;) (Euskirchen)

It's just that the word is being used improperly in the english language among younger folks - you can see them say (type) 'uber***' where *** is pretty much anything.

Also ue (u with the dots) is not available on english keyboards and the word 'uber' is very well recognized ..

Anyway I thought it was interesting heh ;P

tages.info makes sence. If you see this name without the dot,it is
something like "daily info" or "informations of the day".And it is
the same with anreise.info . It is the extension .info which makes
the the word "tages" better and gives it more sence.

The most popular extensions in Europe are the cctlds like .de,.at,
.ch,.it ........ the next one is .com and then .info. Biz,.net and .org
are not so popular.I own for example currently hundret dotcoms
or so,no .net and .biz and only one .org (bigboys.org)!

Why it is so???Hmm..I don`t know the real reason, but one reason
is maybe, that many Germans are thinking, that a dotcom is a
American domain extension like .us . They don`t see, that it is
an international one. Dot info is more general for them, because
we write "info" or "information" in our language like you in your
language.

anreise.com....Try to sell them the domain, but I believe that they
prefer the .info.It makes more sence.

@titoboo

You have lived in Euskirchen.Hey...this is not far away from where
I live.I live in Düren (Dueren).Only 25 kilometers away.I believe
you know Düren!!
