I've noticed a couple of domains which NameWinner has labeled as "PENDING" and which they're not taking any new bids for even though the domains don't appear to have dropped and been re-registered yet. Is this some kind of glitch? The status has been the same for the last few days so it's not just a delayed whois update.

Are you sure you were the high bidder? It'll show "pending" even on names that someone else got, as long as it's still in your watch list.

I was the only bidder on my domain name, and was never notified if someone did outnid me, as they usually do.

But the whois DB looks as if the previous owner renewed the name. I guess I'm out of luck, right?

Yep brn2h8, if it was renewed you're out of luck.

The domains I noticed, though, have not been renewed and don't appear to have changed status in any way. They're still expired and on hold. Each has only one bid (one at $15, which is below NameWinner's usual opening bid) and both are marked PENDING even though they have yet to drop, so no one else is able to bid.

I probably wouldn't be bidding on these names anyway (even though they're some pretty good ones, IMO), but I'm curious why they're mislabled and effectively "locked" at the opening bid.
