The most actively updated sources that I know are:

DomainNameWire.com
DnForum (see Domain News)
TheDomains.com
DomainNameNews.com
DnJournal.com (Lowdown)
CircleId.com
DnSalePrice.com (domain sales)
Domaining.com is RSS feed allowing you to look at multiple blogs

What are the top sources for real-time domain news?

thanks

the top sources are straight from the "horses mouth"

everything else is second-hand or gossip

and some of the second-hand stuff is mostly fluff, scare tactics, "you promote me and i'll promote you" and other opinionated bs

if you want first hand news, then try to communicate with the news makers....not the story breakers :)

real-time:

sedo
afternic
namejet
pool
snapnames

and other boards and venues where the newsmakers post their thoughts, plans and accomplishments

imo...

.

just a question... it does exist (here or elsewhere) a complete and detailed directory of all domains-related websites, forums and blogs?

.

Carter tried to hook me up with his cousin, Magdalena once. But you're confusing him for this other Italian guy, Gaetano. Capice?

Of course I'd say DomainerIncome.com, but Acro is right about DomainGang, reporting news before it happens - its the psychic domaining news network (I won't do the acronym for it). ;)

You may also have a look at Domain Name Review

We recently acquired its plural version domain and we will continue to provide domain news there.

I would guess Snapnames would be good for in-house shill-bidding and fraud updates, although those updates might come 4 or 5 years after-the-fact. History has proven this to be fact, not fiction.

Why anyone in this business continues to mention Snapnames and their auction results along side other auctioneers who have not been proven to be "tainted" by fraud and shill-bidding is beyond me. It's as though domainers don't give a crap about stealing, fraud, felony crime, and lack of ethics. Snapnames should have been boycotted out of business by now, but instead we whistle along and pretend like nothing happened. This is bizarre and surreal.
