Since this is the newbie section, I think the safe bet is sticking with proven registrars, where most domainers keep domains and can explain things to you. Dynadot/Godaddy/Moniker (in that order IMHO) are all good choices for anyone starting out. Fabulous is great once you have a large number of domains - 1500+. For pricing, Dynadot is very good if you spend more than $500 per year (bulk pricing level). Godaddy for .com's with coupons are usually 7.66 or less.

dynadot for important domain? They don't have logic boxes do you?

I would still stick to resell.biz. However, I realized that their difference is small.

Resell.biz is cheapest.

However, other domain reseller have more "pro" customer attitude. While resell.biz, tend to be a more balanced approach. As customer, I of course, prefer pro customer attitude.

Dynadot is what Earl Grey used.

Netearthone.com has a .in promotion.

If dynadot install logic boxes, I'll use them too.

Resell.biz is the cheapest.

u got a big value domain
netsol.com

public corp you can sue if they screw up and it gets lost

GD private company in a BS state

enom not a fan of

they all pretty much stink

but if you want a real company you can sue, netsol.com

GD worth a lot, but you have to sue in a bs state usually AZ

as crooked as it comes AZ

now netsol was started by the CIA, but they used SAIC to spin it out into the world and collect all the IPO bucks before their stock crashed

but... it's still a public company

GD probably for large reg's of names not in the huge dollar range

1M+ domains, need a company on it you can SUE

u got 10 million bucks, you gonna park it at BOA or Chase?

u got big buck domains you gonna park it at GD? a private company in a good old boy state like AZ?

nah

netsol is where you hang big buck domains

GD is a step above enom IMO, but still, they all kinda stink, even netsol

but you got a public company you bang like a drum in the court if they mess up the domain

my 2 cents

Anybody know anything about 1and1.com? Is there a reason why nobody ever talks about 1and1?

godaddy seized 1000 domains in drove.

That's the only time in the world I've heard large numbers of domains are seized by registrars.

That's something I want to avoid like mad.

Thanks for the reply, south... but why should I run from 1and1. I have quite a few names registered there.
