From some guy claiming that Verisign messed up and he wants his name back. He claims to have 2 stores open in South Carolina related to selling flags.

The thing I find strange is why he waited 75 days after I regged it to contact me.

Sounds kinda fishy don't it.

"Verisign messed up" usually means "I forgot to keep my registration information current, so I didn't know my domain was expiring."

75 days later? If Verisign truely messed up, he should be filing a lawsuit against them, not telling you the story. What shiftlock said is almost always the truth.

Don't hand it over without getting a fair asking price for it.

Whether its fishy or not, its not your battle.
He can always buy the name from you and pursue his claim with Verisign.
