It is generally unhealthy to be a victim. Mistakes happen in life. They are aware of the situation and I'm sure everyone has emailed and called them multiple times so let Moniker correct the problem and leave them alone.

Multiple victim posts espousing worst case scenarios really doesn't help the cause too much. Go ahead and move your names out of there if you are so offended. If I were Monte I would politely ask some of the chronic victims to please take their business elsewhere.

There were legitimate concerns expressed but tagging up on someone post after post after he has admitted the mistake doesn't look too good.

LOL, Im sure Monte and the temp agency wants all of his DNForum members to move all there names elsewhere over some dumb sh*t that should have NEVER happened. Or maybe Monte doesnt care about money? But from previous posts, i certainly have my doubts about that .. im positive he likes it ALOT.

all names have been removed from marketplacepro. You can add them back your self if interested in selling your names through this system.

Thanks, (the one and only Moniker person ;0)

Everyone's curious about the "silent" auction... it's so silent :)

WHEN will the results be posted?

Fully agree. I am sure it was an error or glitch. Monte is awesome.

On a slightly different subject, a very reliable source told me the ongoing ganging up and attacking is why Sedo's tech guys basically stopped posting at the forums and instead were replaced by public relations and marketing dept females.

Wired, i feel your pain. i have the same experience with Moniker. first, they gave you the impression that if you transfer your dn for traffic auction to Moniker, you will have better chances of getting them listed. Tranferring your dn cost you money but Moniker made money. and then, parking them in TrafficClub for them to measure your traffic. this will cost you money again because TrafficClub pay out is very low compared with other parking.
but Moniker made money again from your parking.
at the end, none of your dn listed or sold in the auctions.
as it turned out, you don have to tranfer your dn to Moniker for the auction listing.
feeling cheated and dissapointed, you tranfer out all my dn from Moniker, and this cost you money again. Very bad experience with Moniker.

Not sure why Monte even has staff...I never get replies back until I write to Monte directly.

That TRAFFIC auction system was atrocious. First I had to transfer my names to Moniker (yes, paid for this service) and send my list by their excel form AND sign an Exclusive sales agreement. BUT>>>>>>

I never heard from anyone whether my names were up for auction or whatever. I did read here at DNF that some ppl said their names were not selected but I never even got a "Your application was received".

Had to wait to see the actually TRAFFIC auction queue to see that not one of my names made it to the list.

I even had an inquiry on one of my names and referred them to Moniker.

BUT...needless to say, after viewing names at silent auction, I was pretty furious.

I immediately contacted Monte for a new representative and so far, I have none.

I further said that I have to contact YOU cause your staff does not reply back (several times).

Yes, Moniker has to clean up its act. It cant be a one man show.

Yeah...so much pain.

TrafficClub stats were interfaced to the Live Auction system and helped the buyers evaluate traffic and value. Trafficclub on average pays more than any one solution for traffic due to its multiple feeds. Having the domains at moniker makes the transfer, change of ownership and funds release happen the same day.....so much pain

If you do not want to list your domains for the next auction then I guess your option is not to do so. I would not want you two to feel so much pain for an opportunity like this. I guess it just may not be worth the painful sacrifice.

Wired - you were assigned your new Sr. Account Executive today. Hope this all works out for you now...I truly do.

How many, or what quality of domains does one need for this service, and what does the exec. do?

2. Why don't you transfer .be names,
3. Do you transfer .es names?

Monte, this is good to know>
Wired - you were assigned your new Sr. Account Executive today. Hope this all works out for you now...I truly do.

The newly assigned rep has not contacted me as yet (I heard about this yesterday nor has the one reassigned to me from last week). However McDevilish(Dnf member/Moniker) contacted me via Pm and offered to help me with whatever issues I may have or will have.

How many, or what quality of domains does one need for this service, and what does the exec. do?
fab, I do not know. I only have 528 names with Moniker at this time.

Yes, Monte, I hope the same.
Hope this all works out for you now...I truly do.

Seeing the way so many are always on his back or flaming him I would not blame Monte if he stopped participating at the forums.

Don't you realize how fortunate we are Moniker actively posts here, in fact several employees post here in addition to Monte.

I now see why most other industry firms do not post at the forums by observing so many negative-moniker threads and posts, even though Moniker is clearly the #1 firm for serious domainers and offers top-notch service, and works hard to benefit the industry.

Can you imagine people like Bob Parsons actively posting here, no way they would? I believe this is also why Sedo rarely posts much anyomre other than from the marketing and public relations women.

This post has put me off moniker, it seems that money is all they want..
E.g Regarding special pricing I was told I could only have it if I deposited large sums of money.
The way these guys go about business is kind of worrying and unreassuring. I'd rather feel secure with my names.

I've done fine with Moniker and I don't plan to change. I've spent a lot of money with them this year and plan to next year. They don't reach out to me but they are responsive when I contact them.

I don't really understand the mentality of going public with an issue before trying to solve it privately. It's disrepectful. I worked with a large group of business owners for many years. The more professional ones would approach you privately when they had an issue and give you a chance the solve it. The less professional ones would assume the worst and want to show everybody how they caught you red-handed. And the whole "Hyena Pack" mentality is I guess just something that's par for the course on forums.

Thanks Trader!

I know that I am still new on this forum, which makes me fair game for the "veterans", but I am also a little surprised at the reactions that some of the people here have been having... I have had the opportunity to work with Monte and see how TREMENDOUS his commitment is to NOT ONLY this industry, but to the people in the forums...

My assumption was that the majority of people here would recognize the massive commitment Monte has to keeping this business moving forward and helping ALL of us succeed. I have NEVER seen (or heard of, for that matter) a CEO that 1) works longer hours than any of his employees 2)DIRECTLY INTERACTS ON A DAILY BASIS with his clients, potential clients, and end users and 3)ACTUALLY OWNS UP to mistakes when they are made... If you can find another CEO of a registrar that does that (or any other business for that matter), then let me know...

I wish that you all could see the amount of effort that we all put in on this stuff, especially Monte, because I am guessing that it would help to temper the animosity, and quickness to judge. I guess I expected more from the group that Monte and many hold in such high regard...

As for Chipmunk, I believe he moved on to something that interested him more. He is still a cool guy, and I had the chance to meet him in August. He seems like he is doing well. I don't know if I can match his humor, but if you guys need to contact someone, give me a yell, and I will work my ass off to give you the best service possible! Cheers!

I am quite shocked myself at how unappreciativ some here can be toward Monte. Having him so accessable is a tremendous asset. Personally I have had good success in both parking and through the registrar. John Mauriello I beleieve was my help on a couple transfers and I was given the discount regarless of push size. I don't push or reg often, even my parking is up and down due to sales but one thing I know is they have always offered me great service and for that I am thankful.

Monte worked quickly to correct any issues this week and now a few moniker managers are here, name other companes that would even bother to do this for you. Few and far between.
