Yes, if it wasn't for that Monte guy and all his doulbletalk and blaming people for the problems he caused then Moniker would probably be pretty good. Maybe Monte will sell it off.

hahaha Monte IS Moniker... there is no Moniker without him.

Now shut up and get a life! Just stay away from Moniker and don't use them ever again! There are only few registrars that pay this much attention to forums and clients... I love it and I love Moniker and so do tons of people.

You don't like them, we get the point... now stop wasting your time and do something usefull with it!

Correction. Moniker is modeled around Hotel California - you can check in, but can't check out. That's sometimes traumatic for those who are accustomised to driving the freeway and don't know how to use the fire exit. Love them, hate them, for switching off ICANN stipulations on domain transfer protocols.

I think the very least Moniker could do is to put up a big warning sign on their home page for new registrants in the line of "Warning. Normal domain Transfer protocols will not work here. Our customers are paranoid of theft and want us to personally verify every single transfer with human approval by us not bots, and if you don't, bugger off. Complaints to ICANN are futile"

You'll change your mind when a 100K domain gets stolen from you by some shitty thief. Keep that in mind.

Mole - this is completely untrue. As stated earlier in this thread, we have implemented a transfer out system in our new website which changes our transfer out process completely while still allowing us to protect our customer's domains.

Unless you have actually transferred out a domain using our new system, please do not make comments on what procedures we follow.

Thanks,

The problem is that each registrar is making up their own rules and it is creating havoc (end expense) when trying to transfer domains. There is a transfer procedure where all the registrars have input. The method used by Moniker violates those rules.

Well Monte swears blind that their procedures do not violate the rules, and to be frank - who cares, so long as your domain is protected. No one is saying that you can't transfer out of Moniker, it's just a little harder. What's more, it seems to me from this thread that the consumers who use Moniker and are happy...perhaps ecstatic would be a better word...with the service and protection offered outnumber those who don't. This is not the kiss-arse Moniker thread, but the honest opinion of a number of hardworking domain professionals who don't want to see their hard work hijacked.
