Hi everyone. I'm a partner in a software development and interactive media group. We're the creators of www.brandfetch.com, a great brand/domain creation tool.

We've just started branching out and creating our own web properties. This looks like an ideal forum to start learning more about the market.

I'm interested to hear how people get new ideas for content sites. What is your usual development turn around.
Also, I'm interested to hear how much ROI analysis people do before creating their sites. Or, since it's not all that much work to put a site together, do you guys just put them up and hope for the best?

Welcome. Clearly you should focus resources where you'll have the largest return. On the other hand you can develop mini-sites without a lot of cost to build traffic and realize some revenue.
