I have been searching for domains with backlinks, dmoz and/or yahoo listings in this forum for several weeks now.

A lot of domains particularly those in the $60 range have been suggested. What is the value of these domains - meaning why would I want to buy them - if they are not really a brandable name, have no backlinks, or traffic ?

For example, I can search one of many places like
here
and get a whole list of deleted domain names and pay $10 or less for them and they are equally brand worthy.

So my question is:
a.) What am I missing here as far as the value/price of these domains ?
b.) Where can I go to find dmoz, backlinked, traffic hosting domains - I have joined a number of places without much success.

Thanks in advance to everyone who answers :)

The value is you get a sales pitch thrown in when someone else tries to sell their name to you :-D

It's like a CEO saying you should invest in the company he runs yet he is selling his shares, while you might make some money on the deal you can bet he is making a lot more.

LeftRightOut Thank you for the clear analogy.

I was under the impression I was missing something. Apparently that is not the case.

Any suggestions as to where I should look for to find domains with backlinks from google.
