Molto Mario is on, but I have torn myself away to confirm that yes, I suggested the post to ebess.

I thought it would be a good experiment to see what all the backseat drivers have to say.

Be nice win....

2+ years upfront, sounds like a good deal, if you think you can get back that same revenue in less than 2 years you have a deal imo

Indeed. I can also give him the private phone line that allows 24hr access to the mods--in case he needs a post edited/deleted/moved/etc.--because here at DNForum--we aim to please--and the members always come first. :)

Well I'm glad to hear that there is actual splendor to back up the case of grandeur.

This whole time I've been imagining some one in his mother's basement. ;) Foot, meet mouth. :shy:

I would have taken the 200K (if in fact) such an offer were tendered. Here is why...

Regulation, Regulation, Regulation.

It is coming folks. The days of unfettered access to xxx sites will be limited.

The porn operators can scream all the want (free speech), but the case will be made to severely hamper access to these sites.

Frankly I am against such regulation, but in all honesty the porn folks haven't played nice (whitehouse.com). They have made their own beds (sotospeak), and they will have to lie in it.

My guess is the (US) regulation will force porn operators to overseas locales. That will cost money. Also my guess is fines will be steep for those ISPs who allow minors access to the sites. (Yeah, I know...how are they going to know?? Can you say STING operations. Kind of like the ones they set up by having minors go purchase beer...Minor enters store. Purchases beer. Cops move in).

The access to these sites won't be stopped of course, but WILL be limited. That will make it tough for the average individual in the US to continue to operate such sites.

Just my .02 for today!

I know exactly what 200k will get you. Not a 7-11 of course, but easily a real business that can bring in 10k a month HONESTLY. If you'd rather make a living mousetrapping unsuspecting visitors with 100 popup ads, so be it. Something like that could dry up anyday though.

these retards whose sites have dozens of aggressive popus are such scum, i rank them slightly above pedophiles and slightly below spammers.

$8k of monthly income might not remain 8k for very long.

$85k gets you a nice section one block from Paradise Beach here http://www.paradisebeachmx.com. Another $85k (est.) build you a NICE home. Once you install wireless Internet into the Hotel just along the beach, you're set.

With the change, you could buy some mainstream names that will provide a steady income with less chance of it disappearing due to government intervention.

Then you sit at the beach down in Mexico, tending to your websites, 30 minutes drive from Walmart and Sams Club.

But then again, if you sold some of those names off seperately, you'd possible net more than $200k.

Your choice.

I think it was a good move NOT to. . . .I havent visited your popup hell but it doesnt seem to me that it would help INCREASE your revenue to mousetrap. Most sponsors have 1-2 pops so why not redirect to a sponsor?? ... I'd thinkk you would net more.... what's your montly traffic like??

I had pitched some names to DNF and he and I spoke as well. My names are generating approx 4-5k and I priced them at 85k about a month or 2 ago but have been trying to work a deal with a local guy since dnf thought I was off base. Right dnf??

anyway, your names are nice and the price is too low imho.... what price DID you want???? that's the real quuestion. since you have a page like that up you must be interested in selling at some price... but only you know what that wouuld be.

Hey some of you guys shouldn't have made such convincing arguments to sell. What happens when ebess goes to DNPowerful and says I changed my mind, I'll take the 200K?

DNPowerful is going to have to say, I offered you 200K just so you would start this thread. It will make DNPowerful look very bad.

So stop making those convincing arguments for ebess to sell. We don't want to make DNPowerful look bad. :)

However, If I were DNPowerful, I would never do business with you again. You just F**Ked him hard by giving details.

The guy stated that it was DNpowerfuls idea, and i think DNP logic behind this was that he thought the forum would convince this guy to sell up.

This is a hard one (no pun intended). Ok, you are making $8k a month, but how long will that last? Chances are anyone who visits your site will not go back coz they won't find what they were looking for. $8k a month means you will never have to work (even if that income falls by 75% you are ok). If you have no intentions of doing anything with the 200k, then the money will just disappear into nothing.

May i suggest something? Perhaps a join venture between yourself and DNP. I'm assuming he develops them into sites, and i think your names are going to waste. If you were to lease the names to DNP for $8k a month +20% of profits, then both of you are winners, as you get a higher and more secure income, and DNP gets the use of names without having to part with $200k.

But yours work out cheaper, at 17 months revenue, compared to 25 months for ebess's names. I'm guessing its down to the name itself (and trafic) as appose to revenue.

I personally would not sell. Sure it makes you $8000 a month now but what about in two years. Everyday more and more people are using the Internet. Hell, I just taught my Grandpa the other day how to use the net and I know for a fact he will be a big spender on adult sites so I am sure that $8000 a month will only increase. Who knows, in two years you maybe making double or triple the amount.

Just my 2 cents.

I don't know too many people who would pay MORE than $200K for a bunch of so-so performing names. Revenue is illusory, wouldn't most people look at traffic and factor how they would or could convert the niches. On the other hand, if you are really getting $8K a month from these names, why sell at all? You'd have to look long and hard to get a comparable return on the $200K - almost 50% return per year, compounded, with the residual value of the IP assets ...

GregR: Why don't you start a little conspiracy theory thread, where you can slag other members and question their motives, as is your dictatorial priviledge?? You can call it GregR's Libelous Rantings
