I have an unverified Paypal account.

1. Would it be possible for me to send money to other paypal users?
2. Can i purchase or pay on other websites?

Thanks!

yes and yes

It just makes sellers nervous.

... and your buying limits are lower.

There is also a limit on how much you can accept from users using a credit card to pay for items. Back in the day it used to be $500 every 6 months.

It depends on what country r u in. IF u have a indian unverified paypal account the limit is 100$ . If its a UK account the limit if 500 Pounds.

+ if you have a unverified paypal account and no cc attached. U wont be able to pay to lot of websites like godaddy which accept only CC attached paypal payments.

Its best to get verified.

I thought if you had an unverified account, you couldn't accept payments from credit cards.

Duncan its better to provide the right information.

I did some review about this and heres what i have achieved so far:

If someone sends you some payment, you cant cash your paypal account payments for more then $500 per month (big issue).

And limit is maximum $500.

And then the guy who sells gets a quit worried too like as you know there are so many frauds on the internet so to protect that sellers always prefer verified accounts.

Regards
V

um? no its not, just kidding... :S

I had a unverified paypal account with cc attatched, sending limit was $2,000. That meant if I recieved 100 and then sent 100, then I would have a $1,900 sending limit.

Both is possible. However, verifying your account has many advantages. You
can increase your accounts limits, for example. You will also be eligible for PayPal's
seller protection and you will have a better credibility. It's quite easy to get
verified. Just add your bank account information to your PayPal account.

As long as you're no verified member the maximum amount you can send is $2,000
(if you've added your credit card information to your account). You cannot
receive money from credit card payments and you cannot receive more than
$500 worth of payments per month. In addition PayPal has a limit which applies
for every PayPal member. That's the PayPal transaction limit. It says that the
maximum amount allowed for a single transaction is $10,000.

These are the information I found on PayPal's U.S. website. They can differ
from the PayPal terms and conditions in other countries.

The credit card will be billed if you buy something but there's no money in your paypal or bank account.

Paypal seem to be cracking down on new accounts now. Here in the UK, part of the verification process involves them phoning you to ask you for a PIN they allocate to you on verification. An unverified account is not the ideal way to do business. Oh, and they won't allow you to use a bank account which doesn't allow "direct debits" -- in other words they want to be able to withdraw money from your bank account without deference to you if there's a problem like a chargeback, and you have no money in your Paypal account.
