I have a handful of domains over at Moniker that are showing two separate expiration dates via a Whois check. Does anyone here know how or why this would happen?

Whois:
Domain Expiration Date: December 3, 2011
Domain Expires On: December 3, 2012

Moniker Control Panel:
Expiration Date: December 3, 2012

I have had the same problem. However, my domains are registered at EuroDNS and not at moniker. It shows creation date in the future.

Hi rockey,

I have checked your domain and corrected the dates :-) in fact when you transfer your domains to us we do not parse the complete registration date from the whois.

All the best,

If I have a domain that was created back in 1999 and I transfer it to EuroDNS it would show the creation date as today (or when the transfer goes though)?

The creation date is supposed to be parsed from the whois to get the accurate information.
